Healthcare is offered through a broad range of services which creates a wide selection of care. Our facilities care for two-state, 12 county area with physicians and facilities providing for all aspects of health and medical care. And along with this excellent medical care the Terre Haute area has a variety of in-home care services that make independent living a healthy choice for the elderly and, Terre Haute offers a selection of adult day care.

Union Health System strives to meet the healthcare needs of the Wabash Valley through compassionate, efficient and high-quality services. Through Union Health and our primary care physicians, comprehensive care is provided to residents of our communities. Union Health System is a 380-bed facility.

Terre Haute Regional Hospital is a 278-bed community-based medical center with comprehensive medical and surgical programs. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization.  In 2006, Regional Hospital became the first Wabash Valley Hospital to be designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Chest Pain Centers and Providers.  For over 126 years-from its's beginnings as St. Anthony's Hospital to the present day facility-Regional Hospital has provided sophisticated care to the Wabash Valley Community.

Hamilton Center is licensed as a community mental health center and managed care provider for the State of Indiana by Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction.

For 90 years the Union Associated Physicians and staff have been serving the primary and specialty care medical needs of the Wabash Valley.  The UAP Clinic operates 13 facilities throughout two Indiana Counties, Vigo and Vermillion.  UAP also offers several outreach clinics meeting the needs of patients in surrounding counties.

The Richard G. Lugar Center for Rural Health takes an innovative approach to prepare and train medical residents for successful rural practice.  The Richard G. Lugar Center for Rural Health partners with Indiana State University College of Nursing, Health and Human Services, the Indiana University School of Medicine; and Union Health System.

Managed by Life Care Services, LLC, Westminster Village-Terre Haute is a continuing care community and the only one in the Wabash Valley. The residents enjoy the comforts and amenities of home with the security of 24-hour care and the companionship of a supportive staff.  As part of the residency options with villas, apartment homes, assisted living and health care, each offers an important alternative for those residents who need more conveniences and assistance in their everyday living.

McMillian Adult Day Care
The center’s staff provides care for individuals who cannot be left alone during the day, but do not require 24-hour institutional nursing care. The center helps physically, mentally and emotionally impaired adults to remain in the community and to remain at home with loved ones for a longer period of time through supervising and assisting in physical and mental exercises. The services allow opportunity for family members to work, shop, or have free time to themselves for varied reasons.

The Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation works closely with local and state officials to develop customized packages that meet the needs of business and the interests of the community.  The scope of project incentives is based on number and type of new jobs created or retained in Indiana, and new capital investments made in the community.
